Strong chain cooperation
This unique innovation did not happen in a day. It is the result of intensive cooperation between Burtec, machine builder Ammann/ABG, Volvo Penta and Roelofs. Roelofs is the very first party worldwide to purchase this fully electric asphalt spreader via Burtec. At Burtec, we are extremely proud that, as a dealer, we are able to introduce and deliver this progressive technique to the Dutch market.
Work smartly, quietly and cleanly
The Ammann/ABG eABG 4820 is a powerhouse, but without the emissions and noise of a traditional combustion engine. The machine works very quietly, which is not only pleasant for the environment, but also for the asphalt teams themselves.
- Capacity: Thanks to the 270 kW battery pack, the machine can effortlessly run an entire working day on just one charge.
- Fast charging: Should it be necessary, the 160 kW fast charging function ensures that the battery is sufficiently charged within an hour to work for hours.
From demo to reality
The delivery of the machine is the culmination of a careful preparation process. Last asphalt season, the Roelofs teams were already able to extensively test a demo model via Burtec. The reactions on the shop floor were immediately enthusiastic, partly because the operating concept is identical to that of the familiar diesel variant. Get on, start and work as always—but completely silent and emission-free. Earlier this month, Roelofs' employees also visited Ammann/ABG in Hameln, Germany, for additional training and technical explanation.
Ready for practice
Next week, the Ammann/ABG eABG 4820 will take action for the first time on a Roelofs project. We warmly congratulate Roelofs — who has the strong ambition to be fully climate neutral by 2030 — for this addition. Burtec wishes them good luck and many safe, sustainable miles with this beautiful machine!
